welcome
to hi-fi sky
Careful with that dash, Eugene. Hi-fi Sky make cinematic shivers of
luscious
drone pop. Hi-fi Sky is Alexandra Scott, Tim Sommer, and Sam Craft, and
their debut album, music for synchronized swimming in space, is 67 minutes
of grand, ghostly, spacious, melodic sound, equally influenced by
German minimalist art-rock and American roots music. It’s what
you listen to
on the Autobahn from Dusseldorf to Eunice, Louisiana. It is the first
music
in sixteen years from Hugo Largo founder Tim Sommer, and the first fruit
of
his collaboration with Alexandra Scott. Music for synchronized
swimming in space is a sweet and lush simple supernova. Hi-fi Sky is
a
planetarium-shaped lollipop with a bubblegum and espresso center. Honest.
